Established as the Intercollegiate Athletic Association of the United States in 1906, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) was formed in 1910 and operates from its home base in Indianapolis. The NCAA is a membership-led nonprofit association of colleges and universities committed to supporting academic and athletic opportunities for more than 460,000 student-athletes at more than 1,000 member colleges and universities.
