Style Facts:
The roots of UF’s orange and blue can be traced back to the Buckman Act of 1905, which established the University of Florida. Two of the existing schools that merged to form UF were Florida Agricultural College, whose colors were blue and white, and East Florida Seminary, whose colors were orange and black. Shortly after the merger, Florida’s athletic squads adopted orange and blue as their team colors.
