Style Facts:
Orange and Blue have been the Fighting Illini’s official colors since 1893. Prior to the distinctive pairing, the school’s colors changed from silver and cardinal to black and yellow to crimson and olive green. The Illini’s famed Orange and Blue were recently given a modern update thanks to a rebranding effort sponsored by Nike. Now, all 19 of Illinois’ intercollegiate teams will have a consistent look that pays homage to the Block I logo.
